The Flamenco Biennial Festival de Sevilla is a flamenco festival since 1980 is held every two years in the city. The Festival has the most representative artists of flamenco, as well as with new promises of the genre. The next event will take place from 7 September to 10 October 2012.
Theatre, dance, clowns and circus acts, amongst others, come to different venues in Seville. The aim of the festival is to turn Seville into a real celebration of the arts for a few days. Many shows are organised, combining different arts such as music, drama, dance and humour.
The Seville Film Festival has been held in the city since 2001, at different projection halls such as the Nervión Plaza Cinema and the Lope de Vega Theatre.
Founded in 1997, the European Youth Festival of Greek and Roman Theatre is held at the old Roman Theatre at the archaeological site of Itálica.
The Nazarene International Folk Sessions are held annually in Ciudad de Dos Hermanas (Seville province) over one week between the end of June and the beginning of July. The event is funded and organised by the “Ciudad de Dos Hermanas” dance group.
